The current system of funding and delivering public education programs and services in New York is unsustainable. State aid is no longer guaranteed. Federal stimulus money is ending in 2011. And with a projected state budget shortfall of $27.5 billion, the public education for our schoolchildren is at risk.
Be the Change for Kids is an initiative backed by the Task Force for Optimizing School District Resources, a statewide coalition of education partners formed to help school leaders optimize resources and embrace new methods of teaching and learning that will improve results.
